Beament Island sign gets a paint job !

Returning updated sign to Beament Island August 2013

Beament Island is one of the small islands surrounding Red Bay Ontario where we have our cottage.  Every summer we boat out to Beament Island to explore, have a picnic and just hang out for a time in it sheltered coves and shallow waters.  The island is protected by the Sauble Conservation Authority and maintaince of the island is done by the lone inhabitant of the island.  But this summer our neighbour John decided to clean up the weather beaten, faded sign post after many years of neglect.  He loaded it up on his boat, took it back to his cottage and sanded and painted the old plywood sign with new colours and a protective coating.

So with the help of Mark, Griffin and Pete on August 8th, 2013 the new sign was returned to the island and now stands proudly for all to see and know that this is our beloved Beament Island where many memories are made.
