Original food processor recipe made with tahini and extra virgin olive oil.

  • 1 can Organic garbanzo beans 19 oz
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 5 tbsp. Lemon juice freshly squeezed, equivalent to 2 whole lemons
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup tahini stirred well
  • 1/4 cup Cold pressed extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Sea salt


  • Place the chickpeas, garlic, and sea salt in the bowl of a food processor. Process for 15 to 20 seconds and then stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl, and then process for another 15 to 20 seconds.
  • Add the lemon juice and water. Process for 20 seconds and scrape down sides of bowl.
  • Add the tahini and process for another 20 seconds, then scrape down the sides of the bowl one more time.
  • With the processor running, drizzle in the olive oil and process until a smooth consistency.
